I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where could someone find Golden Goose sneakers?

Placed my order on April 28th and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick which was a major plus
What’s the price?
When I bought my pair in spring, I paid just under $390, but their full price is over $500.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their level of detail.
Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
They haven’t stretched much, so if sneakers with star you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
How comfy are they?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also look great.
